Abstract
This study presents comparative study of Doti Campus Library and Sitaram Campus Library of Doti district. There are 14 research papers and literatures reviewed to complete this thesis work where various national and international library facilities, services and library conditions are studied. This thesis highlights the library facilities and services, physical condition of the libraries and views of library users. Random sampling method is carried out of 250 library users and we have collected information from 25 library users for each library, which is 20 percent of the total cases. It is found that Doti campus library has maximum numbers of library users and most of users likes to use modern technology. Similarly, Doti campus library is more resourceful than the Sitaram campus library. In general, these two libraries are being servicing very efficiently and effectively. It is found that there is a need of modern suitable IT infrastructure to offer the complete satisfaction of users, which also meet users’ requirements. Therefore, librarians and related professionals needs to be updated with library software and modern IT technology and it’s uses. After user analysis of both academic libraries, most of them are found to be an academic and they refer their course related study. Both of the libraries have limited books and reference materials for the students and both of them are user friendly, efficient and cost effective. It is concluded that the campus having adequate library resources like books, reference materials, enhanced technology and skilled human resource can deliver better service to its user than the campus having limited resource
