dc.description.abstractstudy is based upon library preservarion / conservation. The research study the main cause of deterioEtion of library materials is "Human Beings" .After humqn beings the 2nd,3d,4'h, 5'h, and 6'h causes are biological faclorc, pollutants, temperature and relative humidity, Iight and paper chemicals . The oooulation is selected from the five different Iibraries ofthe Kathmandu ly Tribhuvan University Central Library, Nepal National Library, National Kaiser Library and Kathmandu Medical College Medftal Library. The research out on the basis of 20 response found-from the sample taken from the above area. The resealch study indicates that there is lack ofproper knowledge about prese ation on library staffs and inadequacy of library budget for library Finally, the resedch study recomrnends to hain the library staff about preservation and to separate out adequate budget for this topic as library is serious problem ofmost ofthe libraries in context ofNepal-en_US
